Impilo Collection Foundation has chosen to honour Mandela month by distributing 10 000 Litres of hand sanitizer distributed to schools in all 9 provinces.

It will allow these schools to adhere to COVID-19 protocols and help to protect 65 000 learners from the virus.  Schools will be able to remain open and learners can continue to be educated.

“What counts in life is not the mere fact that we have lived. It is what difference we have made to the lives of others that will determine the significance of the life we lead,” Nelson Mandela.

On Friday 6th August 2021, the first batch of 1,300 litres of sanitiser distributed started from Phandimfundo Secondary School to five high schools in the Daveyton area.  The distribution is supported by City of Ekurhuleni.

Our Founder of Impilo Collection Foundation, Angela Yeung says “There is no doubt that the pandemic has interrupted the education of South Africa’s youth, adding that no child deserves to be left behind. This sanitizer distribution will help more than 60 000 learners in our country”.

On Friday 13 August 2021, 4,000 litres of sanitiser were distributed to 30 schools across all nine provinces in South Africa.  The receiving ceremony for the second batch of sanitiser at Reshomile Primary School in Diepsloot in support of iSchoolAfrica and VUMA schools projects.

The young performers sang us a beautiful song “Don’t give up!”

The school principle mentioned “ By ensuring we have a good supply of effective hand sanitisers for classrooms during these devastating times. It’s helping our learners, parents and educators to stay safe.”

On Friday 20 August 2021, the third batch of 4,700 litres of sanitiser was distributed to 39 schools in Soweto in support of the Empowervate – Youth Citizens Action Programme and The Trevor Noah Foundation school projects.
