A Campaign Supporting Women and Girls in Need
365 Dignity Project
Climbing for dignity
he 365 Dignity Project is a year-long initiative supporting girls and women with access to essential dignity items, including underwear.
The project was inspired by an experience through the Impilo Collection Foundation’s EmpowerHer campaign, which collected 8,849 bras — one for every metre of Mount Everest.
While distributing these donations, the team met girls who had survived human trafficking. Among the basic needs identified was something many people take for granted: underwear.
This simple request highlighted an important reality: access to essential personal items can make a meaningful difference to a person’s dignity and wellbeing.
From the mountain to a movement
he 365 Dignity Project will be launched alongside a climb of Mount Elbrus, which rises 5,642 metres above the Caucasus and is recognised as the highest mountain in Europe under the commonly used Seven Summits definition.
The climb represents more than reaching a summit. It provides a platform to raise awareness of a need that is often overlooked and to encourage people to take a small, meaningful action.
Elbrus is the launch. 365 Dignity is the journey.
R1 a day. R365 a year.
The concept behind the project is simple:
R1 a day = R365 a year.
A contribution of R365 can help provide essential dignity items to vulnerable girls and women.
The project aims to build a community of people and organisations committed to making dignity more accessible, one contribution at a time.
How you can make a difference
There are several ways to support the 365 Dignity Project:
Individual giving
Make a once-off contribution of R365, representing R1 a day for a year.
Monthly giving
Support the project through a monthly contribution.
Corporate support
Businesses can sponsor multiple dignity commitments and help extend the reach of the project.
Every contribution helps move the project closer to its goal of ensuring that basic dignity is accessible to those who need it most.
